This year, George Golf Club proudly celebrates 120 extraordinary years of history, golf, and community! Since its beginnings in 1886 and official opening in 1906, our club has been at the heart of the Garden Route, offering a golfing experience steeped in tradition, breathtaking scenery, and timeless memories.

Bordered by the towering Outeniqua Mountain range, the fairways wind through tree-lined avenues, a dam and bunkers, creating a timeless experience where golf is more than a game—it is a step into history.

The George Golf Shop stocks a wide range of golfing essentials. Caddies and motorised golf carts are available by prior booking.

Beyond the fairways, George Golf Club offers superb facilities that make every visit a memorable one. The clubhouse includes men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers, a comfortable bar and lounge, and a veranda overlooking the course. The Halfway House is also a highlight, serving hearty breakfasts & lunches for players and guests. Players can relax at the 19th Hole, enjoying light meals, snacks and drinks while soaking in panoramic views.

For those looking to extend their visit into the evening, The Firebox Restaurant is open on Wednesday and Friday nights, offering delicious dinners in a warm and inviting setting—perfect for ending your day on a flavourful note.
