What the club says: The championship course layout was designed and built in 1999 by celebrated South African golf course architect, Peter Matkovich, this classic parkland course has spectacular views across the Bot River lagoon (freshwater) and across the Kogelberg mountain range.
The pristine fairways are kikuyu, while the greens, which frequently receive high praise from professionals in the game are dominant bent. The fame of the course has in recent years spread internationally, with the Nelson Mandela Invitational having been held at the Arabella Golf Course over several years. This pro-celebrity tournament hosted by Gary Player hosted the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Samuel L Jackson, Ronan Keating, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Tim Clark, Lee Westwood and Sam Torrance. These and other top names have made a valuable contribution to Gary Player’s initiative to raise funds for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Foundation and the Player Foundation.

Great mixture of holes and nicely laid out, best described as a thinkers course. One of those courses which if played more than once can return a decent score if you keep dry. Reachable par 5's in 2 offering risk/reward.
Would love to return next year when hopefully the greens haven't just been treated.

Greens being treated so terrible condition, still had to fight to get a discount. Course generally poor condition which was disappointing

Very good course and facilities.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Just curious as to why the 16th was reduced to a par three, no obvious reason.
