Wonderful course. So beautiful that sometimes difficult to concentrate on the golf especially when monkeys are chattering away just above your head! Very challenging especially approaches to greens and the greens themselves. Recommended although expensive.

I had the opportunity to play the back 9 of this stunning course whilst on honeymoon (she wasn't very happy about it, but I couldn't miss this opportunity!). The course and the setting is absolutely incredible, nestled between mountains and the Andaman sea. For a high-handicapper it was an absolute privilege to play on a course of this quality.
The course condition was superb; set within a rainforest, monkeys and monitor lizards were frequent visitors to the course. The course itself was green and lush, with superb fast greens and water hazards in the form of a rocky stream which meandered through the course. The course was thoughtfully designed and was a real challenge for a player of my ability, but the setting and playablility means you could spend a lifetime on this course.
There is the added bonus of the 19th hole; a 175-yard par 3 with a tough shot requiring the tee shot to clear a full 150-yards of the Andaman Sea from tee edge to green.
It set me back approx. £50.00 for nine-holes, hire clubs and buggy. The staff were very polite and courteous and I did not see a single other golfer all the while I was there, as it is so private and secluded. If you are ever in this part of the world (particulalrly staying at The Datai or Andaman Hotels) you must take a morning to play this course. It is an experience you could never find in the UK, simply because of the setting and the 100% humidity!
