A little piece of --------southern Germany ?

I have had the pleasure of playing this course on a number of occasions , and I remain mystified as to the Scottish connection. This aside though , I always receive a good reception in the pro shop . The restaurant food is excellent value for money and the practice area is very good , with driving range, putting and chipping greens. There is also a small 6 hole course which is priced very reasonably. The 18 hole layout , has plenty of bumkers, a sprinling of water hazards , some excellent flora and fauna -- which when let to grow can gobble up any wayward shots -- so straight here is good. Very undulating course so I would recomend a buggy to anyone challenged on the fitness front. Greens are normally superb. Playing 15,16,17 in the Summer months requires some form of insect repelent . A great facility , with a novel turn up and play system so always check on the website for any club or society matches that clog up the first tee before you set out. Some good hotels in the area if you wanted to take a few days R+R . Recomend the Hotel Saettele situated just by the pretty lake of Steisslingen , with friendly staff and a hearty kitchen.
