Basic

This might once have been a little gem of a 9 hole course in the city, but it would need a bit of a makeover now. Whereas most golf clubs in the Shanghai area are rather luxurious the hongqiao golf club is the least to say basic and really in need of some proper maintenance, both on and off the course. Especially the greens are in really bad shape. Some bumpy and with many patches, some actually quite green but in need of a haircut. All of them are very very slow.

All that being said, for those who mind about playing golf rather this course offers a unique opportunity within Shanghai to play a quick round of golf. The course is not busy and the layout of the holes is actually not too bad. Last time I plays the 3 of us got around in 1,5 hours. So I'll definitely play there again
