St Mary's Golf
It's a par 67 for men par 68 for women 4860 metres flat course with 18 tees...Six par threes with the longest 196 metres and the shortest called Misery at 100 metres exactly...Eleven par fours with the short 17th a difficult dogleg right at 245 metres requiring a precision drive or a risky tangle with tall trees and out of bounds..Two very long par fours on the 10th and 15th being 394 and 382 metres respectively...The 18th is a tight 337 metres flanked by dense trees on the right and a close out of bounds on the left. Both nines are about the same length but the back nine contains the four longest par fours at 394,382,343 and 337 metres while the front nine has the only par five and the long 196 metre 2nd par 3 usually directly into a headwind....CCR is 65.1. It's right in the town of St.Marys and has a newly modernised clubhouse with excellent facilities. Green fees are $10 for the day or $20 for the week...It's a course that gives all levels of golfer a test but also reward....Reviewer Rating
