The course is quite challenging in places and not a bad par 4 9 hole course. The only thing in my opinion that lets it down is the fairways are cut every day too short which spoils it as not much grass to play your shots from, also there is no real definition between fairways and rough as pretty much the whole course is cut to the same level. The tee boxes need a lot of attention as some are appalling, need rolling flat and seeding.

Worthwhile for Beginners

Played this 9 hole course last week and reading the reviews below yes tee's are poor and yes greens could be better but would do you expect for a council run course. Was my son's first time playing on an actual course and i thought it was an excellent opportunity for him to experience golf instead of just going to a driving range. There are a couple of challenging holes but mainly a great opportunity for new commers to have a go on a course to improve their game before committing to expensive membership. My son really enjoyed it and we'll happily go again so my son can improve and be more confident with his game before moving onto bigger better courses.

Good 9 Hole Course

Course greens fast for amount of rainfall had over past week, couple areas boggy where buggy/groundsman driven over fairways. Course well kept and maintained.

Ghetto Golf

Unplayable greens, tee boxes without a single flat spot, weeds and months old pitchmark non-repairs meaning divots and dells near the holes, fairways less desirable than the none existent first cut. Did get a helping hand from a beer bottle which pinged my ball from the rough into the fairway though so big up to Stella.
Free for all, holes cross over, waiting for ever for people to chug their beer before taking their shot. Just not a serious course. 2 hour round drive for honestly the worst course I could imagine. A few ok holes TBF but just dangerous, no respect from players smashing balls left right and centre so no fore shouted for the many a wayward shots. Hillies, makes sense now too, only walked a few mile over 18 and half of that again in elevation. Fun if you fancy a big group scramble or casual beers etc but if you're expecting an actual playable course look elsewhere.

Excessive machine use

The course would be in great condition but for one thing, if more time was put into making the tee boxes and greens in a playable condition and not spending each and everyday mowing the fairways too short. (Even mowing in the rain the other day!)

Tee boxes are poor and fairways are cut too short. Less time mowing and more time looking after everything that needs doing

The course is good to play for a 9 hole practice round, some holes are challenging which is good. The only downfall to the course is the condition of the fairways and tee boxes. Of all the rounds I have played there all I ever see the green keepers do is sit on lawn mowers cutting grass that isn't there to be cut anyway. If more time was spent letting the fairways grow so you can play off grass and not mud and the tee boxes are rid of pot holes and mole hills and the grass left to grow on these it could be a really good course
