Played in 2025. Excellent condition, scenery, the fabulous journey to get there and by no means least the friendly locals and groundsman

Absolutely amazing. Fabulous fairways and greens. The groundsman is a credit to his profession.
This is home to the longest hole in the whole of the UK and Ireland.
Don't forget to buy your ball marker memento from the clubhouse or if none there down at McCullochs in the village.
I will be back.

Home of the longest hole in the UK and Ireland. The course is in superb condition and one of the most picturesque we've ever played. It's only 9 holes but the best 9 holes we've played in every sense of the word. We played 9 holes before lunch and again after lunch then a lovely drive to the ferry back to Orkney. For those wanting more then there is some lovely accommodation just a couple of miles from the course in Pierowall, look into McCulloch?s store for your souvenir ball marker.
Very relaxed and honesty box driven. Even the journey to get there was a joy. Can't wait to get back there and play again.

Fabulous, what a lovely day we had here. The early morning ferry and the eagerly anticipated longest hole on the 3rd was waiting. We had a chat to the groundsman before setting off and both loved the course, we played the first 9 then had our lunch before going around again. Fabulous skies, the sea ebbing away in front of us, dog walkers willing to have a chat, one with a collie who so wanted to be our side of the fence to retrieve the golf ball. I cannot wait to go back and play this fabulously well kept course again. I have never experienced my 6 iron working so well before, although a newbie to golf still in my first year I was thrilled with my performance on the wonderful course.
