What The Club Says
Stranraer hosts a fabulous coastal parkland course designed by James Braid. Set on the North Rhins peninsula, with stunning views of the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig, the course has been carefully contoured over undulating ground that sports a burn to catch out the unwary. This peach of a course is a must for any golfers visiting the area.

Good selection of different holes
Course in great condition with a good selection of different holes, The 5th is particularly good, with a breathtaking initial view and a difficult tee shot.Reviewer Rating

Great course, most holes demand a good tee shot, especially when playing alongside the beach. There were a couple of par 4s which were reachable in 1 however putting was not easy, neither was competing with the wind.

Busy for a monday. No warm up net, just a tatty chipping and putting area. Clubhouse has a dowdy outdated feel. Routing makes the course very unbalanced, easy enough until you get to a tough last 5 holes. Apart from those, and the 5th, not many holes to remember. Tough walk. Biggest negative is that it feels bitty, with some nice 'coastal downland' holes and some very average parkland holes. Also, a member saw fit to try and spoil our day by insisting we were a hole behind when we blatantly weren't.
Decent track, but not close to deserving top 400 on here.
