What the club says: St Mellons Golf Club was first opened in 1936 and is a parkland course on the eastern edge of Cardiff. It is unique in that it covers two counties, Gwent and South Glamorgan. You will long remember the two finishing holes, which are absolutley superb, they will make you either smile or cry! In recent years the test provided by the course has led to St Mellons hosting several Welsh internationals.

Course in great condition. Fairways tight but little trouble outside a bit of rough and lots of trees. Staff not very friendly

Great course, members and pro shop staff were the problem
Course was great and condition was lovely. Members were slow losing 3 holes on the group in front and we’re holding up a 24 man society from the very first tee. The man in the pro shop was very rude and not helpful whatsoeverReviewer Rating

Old School Woodland Course on outskirts of Cardiff.
Ummmm. The greens needed water!. They played like a links course hard bounce, impossible to hold the ball on unless you came down vertically. However, you couldnt play it like a links course (low, chip and run) too many hazards around greens. Everything ran off the greens to fringe and more, hence 39 Putts!!!!!. Very mature course beautifully manicured.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: )

Good challenging course with some very interesting holes. A few difficult par 4 holes to finish. Although the greens are recovering from the recent poor weather they should be in tip top shape in the coming weeks. Recent new member 12 HCP - Played two rounds 83 & 79

Lovely old parkland course which is very forgiving.Guy in pro shop can do with some customer service training as very abrupt and rude.

In very good nick. Probably suits the longer hitter. Relatively flat course but with interesting selection of holes. Clubhouse is pleasant and well appointed . The club does hold events. whilst we were there a wedding reception was in progress. Bar and food service suffered as a result

A nice course with the fairways in good condition but the greens were not, probably due to the poor summer.
A testing course overall with some tough long par-4 holes and three strong par-3s on the from nine.

the course was in excellent condition fairways were well groomed greens were medium speed. this is the second time i've played this course some of the holes can be deceiving and this picturesque course will challenge even the best golfers.the club and bar facilities are excellent,and i would highly recommend a round. buggy hire at £15 pounds compared to some clubs is reasonable.
