What the club says: This is one of the country's most original golf courses, built in a pine wood at the edge of spectacular cliffs, overlooking the beautiful beaches of the Algarve and the Atlantic beyond.
Opened in 1990, Pine Cliffs was designed by Martin Hawtree. The nine hole course is not very long - only two holes run to more than 360 metres - yet, despite this, it presents an interesting challenge for the golfer, regardless of handicap. As well as concerning himself with the playing area, Hawtree was careful to leave the surrounding land undisturbed and largely as it was before the course was built.

Great fun course
This is the 2nd time i have played this course, and it has improved in conditions since last year, greens, fairways, tees all have improved, a real pleasure to play, the drinks after the game were supported by friendly staff, wanted to share there experiences at other eating places and to have some banter, this is what is required at every club.Reviewer Rating

Nice 9 hole course. Really good lay out and in good condition. Signature hole par 3 over a ravine is an exceptional hole. Play off the back whites, it is 230 yards, a great challenge. All par 3 and 4, miss a par 5 but still decent.

Great little warm up course
Lovely 9 hole course in plush country club on the edge of Albufeira. 6th is a beast similar to the famous par 3 at the Royal down the road. Great views of the sea along both the 5th & 6th and tasty very well filled albeit expensive wraps.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 86 Handicap: 21.1)

Beautiful course, relaxed atmosphere, won’t suit low handicappers looking for a challenge (except par 3 sixth hole ‘Devils Parlour’ which looks a major challenge from the white tees). Lovely bar area and restaurant too.

Somewhere to play while on holiday
Nice set up, play between 12 and 3 to get a good deal or it could be expensive for what it is. Club hire needs to be updated, course in good order and a brilliant par 3 16th over a canyon. Pick your day to get happy staff. Weather always a bonus.(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 77 Handicap: 16.8)

Lovely 9 hole course
The course is in excellent condition. It is a par 4 and 3 course only, although some par 4?s are quite long. It winds through the Resort and there are spectacular views over the cliffs that are worth a visit. Do not be fooled to think it is an easy 9 hole course because the trees come into play on all holes (somewhat reminiscent of the Old Course in Vilamoura). The rough grass takes some getting out of, especially if your ball sits low in the grass. The greens are not too speedy but they do require reading. Social isolation is practiced well with bookings and in the bar. The shop was also one of the best we went in with a lot of merchandise on offer of good quality and some offers too. This would be great for those starting golf too.Reviewer Rating

Lovely wee course

A very good walk

After 5 years away from this course, the return was very disappointing, the greens are a mess, divot holes to many to mention let alone fix and the cup sides caving in. The pins have not been moved either for time as the old pin placing's cannot even be found on the green. One of the best 9 hole courses in the world..... finished, do not waste your money until sorted, such a pity

Played 9 holes with Mike, Colin a Sean. It rained heavily when we reached the 5th tee, which is very unusual for the Algarve.
There was snow 40 miles away, so we were lucky.
