What the club says: Newcastleton Golf Course sits on the side and on the top of Holm Hill and enjoys splendid views over the Liddesdale Valley and Newcastleton. Strangely enough, despite its hilly second it is certainly not a tiring strain on the legs, although that doesn't mean it is a pushover.
This course is somewhat famous for the size of its greens, which are fairly small. Putting, therefore, can be tricky at times and you have to have your short irons firing on all cylinders if you are to provide yourself with plenty of birdie opportunities.
