What the club says: Elmwood Golf Course is set amongst some of the most scenic countryside. with spectacular views of the surrounding area. It is also not far from the world famous, St Andrews "The Home of Golf". The course is 6176 yards in length, with a par of 70.
Golfers can enjoy good golfing conditions all year round due to sound maintenance practices. The layout of the course provides a fair, but enjoyable challenge for all levels of golfer.
The course is suitable for all standards of golfers and, with scenic views of Tarvit Hill and the Lomond Hills, not forgetting the wildlife which thrives on our environmentally friendly course.
It is a very pleasant walk even if your golf is not as good as you hoped!
Our floodlit driving range with grass tees, target greens, indoor bays and an extensive short game practice facility make Elmwood a quality experience for all golfers in stunning surroundings.

Great Course and not an easy run
I loved playing this course. Bad Point !. Too many blind holes for my liking. The course was in amazing condition and cannot fault any of the course from that point of view. Would love a second crack at the course as I believe anyone playing it after more than once can easily bring their score down. Quite a few of the hidden holes have no marker poles to aim at so that was disappointing. Overall though a great knock and will play it again.Reviewer Rating

Great day out

Very Nice Course

Well worth a visit.
Played Elmwood in a Seniors Open, found course in excellent condition, all staff very friendly and efficient. Didn't use driving range or practice area only putting green which I found excellent. Cant fault this course and will return at some stage.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course in a relatively straightforward layout. Many bunkers make it challenging. Nice and open and greens in excellent condition.

over the last year the green staff have been doing a good job in bringing the course and the surrounding area to a higher level tees fairways and greens are good just now i played a championsship course in this area on saturday and the greens here are just as good if not better well worth playing

Used to be a member here - poorly supported club is the impression I get but the club house dining facilities are as good as I have experienced anywhere - food is always top notch. Don't understand why the ladies golf society is allowed to book early Saturday mornings 'en masse' and then half the slots are not taken up which is completely out of order - this is part the reason why I have not renewed my membership. At the same time, this last winter (2012/2013), winter greens and tee mats were used for an awfully long time when other courses in the area were on normal greens and tees - one particular day, winter greens were being used because of 'frost' - unbelievable decision by the course on that particular day. Went from winter greens to normal greens in the middle of a competition thereby rendering different conditions for different players so affecting the scores returned. I believe there is poor management to blame here and I will not be returning to this course in anything other than the best conditions.

the course is in very good condition and has come through the winter very well with it being quite dry all the time can play on full greens unless it is frostie unlike most courses around and with a new head green keeper he is bringing it on a steep higher and that is good for all playing it is well worth a go if you want a good game

One of the cheapest courses in Fife but good value for money (£15 each with open Fairways). Having played a couple of the St Andrews courses during the week, Elmwood provided a much more relaxing end to the holiday with some well-positioned bunkers and very contoured greens providing a challenge. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

on arrival the practice area is second to none with the driving range offering covered bays and outside grass bays and a large area for the short game to get that chipping and bunker shots sorted before you hit the putting area that is quite large next to the first tee so your of now with the course offering a challenge to all levels of golfers with open fairways some large bunkers and thicky greens very good changeing room with showers and a very good informal club house where you can have a drink and a meal and watch the other golfers come down the 18 fairway

very good laid out course, quite open course, greens not as good as should be, best time for good greens are back end year, do not no reason for this, should be in better condition lot sooner.
