What The Club Says

The Curragh Golf Club, founded in 1883, it has the oldest Golf Course in Ireland dating from 1852. The Curragh, a plain of over 4,700 acres, is owned by the Department of Defence. It is renowned for housing the biggest military installation, and for having a unique natural grass sward, which is conducive to being the home of the Irish Race Horse Industry.

Back in the Curragh once More

A fine course which is extremely well maintained. There are plenty of challenges in this course once we get into the trees and bunkers. Taking a penalty unplayable lie as a shot is every so often a wise decision. The bunkers had unusual sand which I found tough.

An extremely friendly staff to make is as a wee

An interesting and challenging course on largely flat lands. The fencing in of the course keep the sheep off the course and the agility required to get over the fences make sure you get exercise even if you are on a buggy. Always enjoyable and great link up to the royal group of golf clubs........this is meant to be the oldest golf club in Ireland opening somewhere around 1850. Play it if you can.

A real pleasure to play this flat parkland course where the wire fencing adds an extra feature. This was a beautiful day with the fairways, greens and tee boxes looking at their best. Real friendly service in the club house and restaurant. A most enjoyable golfing and customer experience.

Played off society tees and it played quite short in rainy conditions..Greens more than made up the test though, running quick and some nice breaks on them..
