That is it then; no more Chessington Golf Centre, As of 29/11/2015 this course has closed awaiting redevelopment.

It was my first time round the course, and I was the very last player on this course (completed at 16:00).

Despite the pending closure, the retained ground staff kept the course to a good standard to the very end, despite previous comments the greens were in great condition (albeit a bit of moss, but better than bare patches),

Certainly could have done with a bit more signage between holes on the course, a few tee plates were missing, no score cards left as it was the last day, but distances from tee to green were guessable and markers on the fairway were a good indication.

Although only a short course (6x Par3 3xPar4); still managed to include some water features and some great elevated tees and raised greens, but compact in design with several holes played against or across other fairways, which I can see would have caused congestion when all holes in play.

Shame it has closed, would have liked to have gone back (perhaps when it was less windy, we did struggle to remain upright at times as course was exposed; being on the side of a south facing hill, but I was determined to play before it was lost forever)

(Round played: Nov 2015 - Score: 41 Handicap: 25)

Final round at the course before it shuts down to be made into houses. A real shame as it is where I learned how to play the game years ago. It could have been a really lovely academy course with a little more business sense, especially with the Callaway head offices round the corner!

A decent short course let down by some very badly maintained greens. Good fun nonetheless.

This is a good course for beginners, it has some challenging holes, but the greens are always in quite poor condition.

I here today. Before the rain set in!!
The course in general is kept in reasonable condition. The tees are mats which is something I am not a fan of. The fairways are in pretty good conditio. The greens however do seem to be suffering and seem to lack thourgh course maintenance. For me the greens are the most important part of each hole you play. The greens do seem to have a lot of thatch/moss and don't run true as there are a lot of 'holes/bumps' in them. This makes putting very difficult. The greens could definitely do with some investment I.e. Irrigation and probably the right machinery.
There are however some good holes on this course with water hazards, elevated tee boxes, uphills, downhills etc.
it's a good short course to start you learning the game but there are far more better courses in the area for the same price.
This has the potential to be a great course but I feel the funding to do that is lacking.

Lovely little course, really enjoyed this as a beginner course, taught me the game of golf and really improved my game, helped me move onto bigger courses

This is just a terrible place and experience. It is barely long enough to be described as a golf course and is 9 holes squeezed into a big field. It is scruffy and there is no feel good factor. However it is not good for beginners, the second hole is hit a decent shot or lose your ball. My advice is to lift a couple of strays from the range when walking down the first. I was told that the course was slack when it was booked solidly, clearly issues with reception. For similar money in the area you can play Moore Place which is a proper 9 hole course.

Excellent 9 hole for begginers and more experienced alike. For a low cost golf centre the fairways and greens were in immaculate condition and the variety of holes were great. At least 3 of the holes are worthy of using a driver / wood and the rest have some nice approaches. Even a couple of nice small lakes built in for the occasional water hazard.

A hidden gem, so much more than a 'little par 3 course'. Water in play on three holes, a great course for all handicaps but more suited to higher handicaps. What it lacks in length is more than made up with excellent greens and cheeky little approach shots.
Staff excellent and very hospitable both in the pro shop and bar. For anyone looking, they have a fantastic golf shop!
