Visited in early April 2022 with a family group and had a fantastic time both on and off course. Many thanks to Andi and Caroline in the club house for looking after us so well including finding clubs and shoes for us when ours failed to make the flight! Fresh lobster caught just yards from the course made for a memorable lunch. Special mention also for the Shore at Gansey. This was Andi's recommendation and did not disappoint. They even put the Masters on in the bar for us!

I hadn't played the course for a number of years and it was fantastic to be back. All the things I liked about before remain including the 17th which would slot into any Open course. The New 18th is an improvement but just needs to settle in a bit more to feel like it belongs. One day something will happen to the old hotel but even if that takes a while this is still a fantastic links course and one to visit.

Awesome Links - Hidden Gem!

Castletown Golf Links is located on what must be one of the best locations for a golf links, with sea views from every hole. The layout is interesting and requires you to think tactically, the variety and quality of holes is excellent! The rough was up this Summer, meaning playing smart was the order of the day. The greens were in excellent condition - running true and at a good pace for a links course. My favourite holes were the 5th (Road Hole - Stroke 1), 14th and 17th. Overall really enjoyed this course and will definitely be back again soon!

The Clubhouse was nice and food in the bar/restaurant was really good - I had the burger and my playing partner had a lobster salad (with lobster from the adjacent bay!). If only the hotel next to the clubhouse could be developed this could become one of the best all round facilities out there.

great costal course with a view of the sea from every hole. The wind played it part on the day which made it difficult but enjoyable.

Nice out and back links style layout. Played on a still day, would be a lot harder in the wind.

Real nice links type layout with special views over the sea at all points on the course. What is called an out and back links - plays to the furthest point then makes its way back.

A hidden gem, very friendly staff, fair price. Beautiful and challenging but fair course to play. Obviously they have made wonderful improvements in the club house and restrooms. Need improved practice area and practice green (only warm up nets). Hole #1 is somewhat unimpressive but then the course opens up to a delightful visual and playing experience.
