What the club says: Braehead Golf Club is an 18 hole par 70 course and it is widely recognised that the variety of challenging holes, coupled with the many fine views which can be seen from various parts of the course, mean that Braehead always had the potential to be amongst the foremost Clubs in the area.

Course in reasonable condition given the time of year and wet weather the area has had. Golfshake needs updated to reflect the scorecards provided by the club

Good course
the course is greatThe membership isn’t
This is a club that has local entitled control, youth needed in house, old blood needs replaced and the course less hostile to members and non member golfers during play, 4-5 hour round as the entitled play with 6/8/10 in a group, old guard members question your membership every round, nosey members will walk with you prying into personal issues to read you if your ‘Braehead’ material, If your over 60 this clubs for you. Good luck getting a slot.

Great fun to play
The course was in great condition with every fairway cut different great imagination by the greens staff,Nice open fairways and manageable rough pace of play was quick and steady .

Very enjoyable

Great course you need to play it
Great condition for this time of year, questionable par on some holes easily could be a 72. Obviously cold weather had an impact, but would like some of the par 4 checked, as definitely 3 good hits before you pull the putter out. Breahead golf club is ecellent course. Some challenging holes. The 16th par 3 is tricky and looks lot further and more like par 4
Pro shop is great and the staff of the club make you feel welcome. Cost of a round is reasonable

Lovely course set in the outskirts of Alloa, friendly welcome for visitors, and only £20 for a midweek round. Food in clubhouse is reasonably priced, and service quick...ONLY £1.50 PER PINT for lager!!! Course has some gems on it, with greens hidden from the tee, so few shots lost due to lack of knowledge, but after a heavy morning of rain, we played in the afternoon, and it ran superbly. Well Done Braehead!

Played this on a very wet day and still enjoyed the day (36 holes). Welcome good although Pro shop only opening by the time we teed off just afte 9am.
Greens good and ran true, medium paced. Course appears to be well looked after by greenkeeping staff. Nice variation of direction of holes. Probably much better views than we saw as nice part of the country. Catering good although had better. Clubhouse OK maybe in need of a bit of a tidy up in some areas.

Very beautiful course and the fact that I was on for free with a member is a bonus, started at 7.00 am on Sunday morning with blue sky and sunshine what more can you ask for.

Very good golf course that provides a good challenge on some holes, like the 8th, which is well worth a visit.

Played the course at 7.30 in the morning, no one about a beautiful clear morning and sun shining, what more can a golfer ask for. Some very nice holes, scenic challanging but also accessible if you hit it right. Good course to play and well worth a visit.
