Well worth the money. A good course to play when you can't get on any were else do not expect a championship course, but for £5 good knock

The course is now only a 9 hole club hous and driving range have also gone :-( the course is gradually getting worse it is such ashame but on the up side its a good little starter course can be difficult in spots but for the price it is well recommended be careful on hole 6 a lot of lost balls XD very local and convenient for me

The course has now dried out (even many of the rain gullies are dry) and the fairways are generally very good. The greens are not as smooth as other local municipal courses and need some attention. It's a pity that the local kids(?) steal or vandalise the flag poles. At the price however (£5) it is good value for practising the long and approach games.

Overall this course is quite interesting to play (uphill/downhill lies/water hazards/doglegs) off the tee needs some thought as just blasting away with driver will end in trouble. Some challenging holes but 17 & 18 probably two of the worst finishing holes to a round I have ever found. T he management of the course lacks serious investmentlack of sand in bunkers makes them virtually unplayable. The greens are not the best ball doesnt run true and the drainage is awful very quickly becomes waterlogged plays heavy most of the year.
Overall for £10 ITS ok. but could be so much better with a little investment!

Very well laid out and challenging course for a high handicapper as myself.Generally a pleasure to play, unfortunately the bunkers are a disappointment as there is a distinct lack of sand to play from. Lovely setting, very picturesque course, lots of trees. Several uphill holes to keep the fitness levels up.Probably like alot of courses it needs a bit of financial investment on the course and the clubhouse to really move it to the next level...easier said than done.

Sadly course needs some work on the greens and bunkers. Greens dont run true due to lack of grass/stay out of bunkers virtually unplayable couldnt find sand in any of them. That said always enjoy playing this course has plenty to keep any standard of player interested.

this course could be one of the best in the north west if only they would look after it and get sum proper drainage for the last 3 holes. And get sum sand for the bunkers is another, plus the greens could do with a bit of work too. Other than that every time i play this course i always enjoy myself wether it be a good or bad round!

Good for a municipal course to which the public have a right of access to walk through.
Excellent friendly staff. Inexpensive to play especially at twilight only £8 per round.Never overcrowded. Recommended.

The greens that have been closed for the winter are a disgrace. The others are not much better.
Such a shame
