Motocaddy Offers New 18-hole Lithium Battery

By: Golf Shake | Mon 25 Mar 2013

motocaddyMotocaddy is introducing a brand new 18 hole Lithium battery – in addition to a 36-hole Lithium option – that presents golfers with more flexibility than ever before when powering their trolleys.

The new 18 hole Motocaddy Lithium battery – available with all of the brand’s electric trolleys – weighs just 2.2kg, a third of the Lead-acid equivalent, and has been designed to provide a more practical option for golfers who only play one round a day. Meanwhile, at 2.5kg, the 36-hole Lithium battery weighs less than a quarter of its Lead-acid equivalent and is considerably smaller at less than half of the size.

“More golfers are using Lithium batteries than ever before because they’re lighter, more efficient, extremely reliable and ultimately make the game more enjoyable,” said Sales Director Neil Parker. “The new 18-hole Lithium versions give that extra bit of flexibility and affordability for golfers looking to play just one round a day, while the 36-hole battery is available for those that play morning and afternoon rounds.”

The Motocaddy Lithium range has also been re-branded for 2013 and both models offer the market-leading five-year limited warranty that has helped increase Lithium sales significantly since its introduction in January last year. An integrated Battery Management System protects the battery and helps to provide a five-times-longer lifespan than Lead-acid batteries, while both capacities can be re-charged from empty in less than five hours.

The new 18 and 36 hole Lithium batteries are available from March with trolley purchases and as a replacement battery option.
