REVIEW: Dirty Birdie Golf

If you're looking for golf accessories with a difference, perhaps Dirty Birdie Golf could be the emerging brand that you've been waiting for.

Golfshake Ambassador Mel Davies had the opportunity to review and learn more about some of their products.

Firstly, I’d like to thank Lewis for sending me over the package that included a driver headcover, golf towel and golf glove.

I really enjoyed trying the products. More on those to follow.

But I wanted to ask Lewis and Joe to tell me what made them decide to start up Dirty Birdie in the first place.

What You Need to Know About Dirty Birdie Golf

"Dirty Birdie Golf started because I wanted golf gear that actually felt good and looked the part. Back in October 2023, we were tired of the same old basic accessories that didn’t stand out and didn’t last. So I thought, why not make something better? That’s how it all began - just me (Lewis) and Joe, an idea, and a love for the game.

"Golf isn’t just a sport to us, it’s a lifestyle. Whether it’s your glove, your headcover, or the towel hanging on the bag. I wanted to create products that look clean, are cool designs, feel premium, and actually do the job.

"We then launched Dirty Birdie Golf in February 2024 with a small range of essentials. It wasn’t about making a huge product line; it was about making the right products, the ones golfers actually want to use. We were blown away by three sell outs on the glove in 12 months. Along with that every product from Season 1 and Season 2 has sold out. Season 3 is going really strong.

"Everything starts with a question: How can we make this better than what’s already out there? Our headcovers are made with premium PU leather and detailed embroidery. Our towels are designed for convenience and style, and our gloves use AAA Grade Sheepskin cabretta leather for that soft subtle feel. I work closely with trusted manufacturers to make sure everything matches the standard I promise - because if it’s got the Dirty Birdie name on it, it has to be right.

"We’re only just getting started. Clothing is on the way - some of you have already seen pieces in our recent videos. Expect clean designs, quality fabrics, and the same attention to detail you’ve seen in everything we’ve done so far. I’m also working on some slick accessories like clothing duffle bags and shoe bags, etc, because why shouldn’t your off-course gear look just as good?"

Reviewing Dirty Birdie Golf Products

Dirty Birdie Golf

The headcover looks really good and modern, fits an absolute treat on my driver which is really good as some can feel a bit tight. It’s made from premium PU leather which feels really nice and has a lovely plush luxury interior that protects the driver from bumps and scratches. A really impressive well made and modern cover.

Next up is the towel. I was sent the Blue Ice microfibre towel which again looks very good and modern. It’s very soft and absorbent and helps keep your clubs clean and dry. It has a loop and a centre hole to give two hanging options. I really love the centre hole as I’ve had a couple before and they just sit great over your clubs and bag. The towel design is double sided so you can spin it round so it looks nice and clean even halfway round. It’s a great size and is very well priced too.

Finally the glove. It’s an all weather cabretta leather glove with the Dirty Birdie branding down the little finger and also on the Velcro attachment. It feels very soft and really comfortable and also looks great. It has "precision-engineered anti-skid technology" which gives it a great feel in the palm into the club's grip. It’s been really good when the weather was hot and humid and I also got to use it once during a shower and it still kept its performance up. It also has some Lycra panels which help provide a really contoured and flexible fit.

Overall, I would have to say the products I was sent were all of the highest quality and looked great and very modern.

Their current range of products consist of two gloves, two towels, two driver headcovers, two ball markers and tees. They also have some bundles which offer great value.

I for one can see Dirty Birdie going from strength to strength.

My rating is 8/10, it would be higher if they had more choice, but I guess that will come as they grow.
