Keegan Bradley What's In The Bag 2025

There was more PGA Tour agony for Tommy Fleetwood as the Englishman failed to convert a one-shot lead on the final hole at the Travelers Championship, which opened the door for American Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley to make a birdie that saw the 39-year-old claim this title for the second time in three years.

Fleetwood, yet to win on the US-based circuit, three-putted for bogey on the last as a mediocre approach shot was overshadowed by the aggressive effort of Bradley who gave himself the chance to win that he duly grasped.

"I'm gutted right now," said Fleetwood.

"I've not been in that situation for a long time. It's probably the worst way to finish.

"Leading by two with three to play. Leading by one going into the last and you don't even make it to a play-off. It's the worst way it could go."

But for Bradley, who now faces the real prospect of potentially being the first playing captain for the United States in the Ryder Cup since Arnold Palmer in 1963, there are intriguing possibilities to consider.

"I never really planned on playing," he said. "Now, with the amazing vice-captains I have, I feel a lot more comfortable if I went that route.

"I had this epiphany at the PGA Championship when I was getting these loud 'USA' cheers.

"I don't think any player in the history of the game has experienced what I'm experiencing in that I'm a Ryder Cup captain, in my eyes still one of the best players in the world trying to win majors and tournaments, coming down the stretch of a tournament."
