Ben Griffin what's in the bag 2025
Ben Griffin's dream season continued as he shot a final round of 63 at El Cardonal at Diamante to win the World Wide Technology Championship by two strokes over Chad Ramey and Sami Valimaki.
Griffin finished the week with a 72-hole total of 29-under 259 and won for the third time this season, joining Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy as the only players in 2025 with three or more victories on the PGA Tour.
Griffin birdied five holes in a row in the middle of the final round, including hitting his tee shot at the par-3 ninth hole to tap-in range and sinking putts of more than 20 feet at the 11th and 12th. He holed another long birdie putt at the par-3 16th to give him a two-shot lead and added one more at the 18th for good measure.
He won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with partner Andrew Novak and then validated with a victory at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Griffin said that he wasn't surprised that the floodgates opened after his first title.
"I knew that was going to happen with me. I just had that belief," he said. "It's not like a cocky belief, but it's just one of those things you have to have out here."
Griffin also represented the USA at the Ryder Cup in September.
He said his game was rusty but he opened with a pair of 65s and a 66 on Moving Day.
"The funny thing about me is I never really feel that sharp, especially early in the weeks. I'm like the worst pro?am player. I topped a driver in the pro?am. I kind of show up in tournaments for some reason," he said. "I think it's because I focus in a little bit more and am playing for a little bit more."
