Rose Ladies Series Heads to Brocket Hall in September

By: | Wed 16 Aug 2023

The Rose Ladies Series will be hosting an event at The Melbourne Club at Brocket Hall from September 7 to 9.

A collection of stars will be battling for the Rose Ladies Open title, which is one of the most exciting events on the LET Access Series (LETAS) schedule.

A field of 108 international superstars will start the week with the aim of being crowned champion of this brilliant tournament.

The inaugural competition, that debuted last year, was such a success that this will be the second instalment – which comes equipped with a larger purse too.

Players will be playing for €70,000 – circa £60,000 – which is the largest purse on the Access Series for the 2023 campaign.

A celebrity Pro-Am will take place on Wednesday, 6th September, with the three-day event to follow the amateur involvement.

The Melbourne Course boasts a par of 72 and it is one of England’s most picturesque championship courses, with outstanding views over the gorgeous property and lake.

There is no question that the players will be challenged to the fullest; a mixture of water hazards and sloping greens await the field.

My Leander, the Swedish golfer who won the Rose Ladies Open last year, will be returning to defend her title, alongside Rose Ladies Series events winners such as Hannah McCook, Gemma Clews, Georgina Blackman and Jae Bowers.

However, due to the strength of the international field, there is a very good chance that the tournament may produce a completely new winner.

Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen – who is enjoying a great rookie year – is currently leading the LETAS Order of Merit and her performances have been stellar throughout the season.

Another rookie to keep tabs on is England’s Emily Price, who is yet another player demonstrating their ability this campaign.

She has recorded four top 5 finishes this season, and as long as she keeps knocking, the door will surely come down.

Speaking ahead of the event, Price revealed how excited she was for the trip to Brocket Hall.

“I’m really excited to play in the Rose Ladies Open on home turf. I’ve played a few Rose events in the past and they are really fun to be involved with. It’s a big event in our schedule and one many of us are excited about.”

The Rose Ladies Open will showcase some of the very best professional and amateur female golfers and it acts as a great opportunity to watch golf live at the highest standard.

Tickets are completely free as long you register beforehand, so please do consider this event if you are local to the area.

The venue is accessed easily and located approximately 22 miles from central London, with the club providing free on-site parking.

The Rose Ladies Open will take place from 6-9 September 2023 at Brocket Hall Golf Club, with free tickets available here.
