By: | Thu 11 May 2023

If you’re in the market for a new putter, then look no further than the impressive Odyssey range of putters for the 2023 season.

Golfshake Equipment Expert, Ryan Rastall, provides insight on this year’s release and details which putter can best suit your game. You can see Ryan's full video overview of the range below or directly on YouTube.

Odyssey DFX

Odyssey DFX

The Odyssey DFX putter returns to the golf market - this time in a black finish. It comes equipped with the DFX insert that is approximately 20% softer than White Hot, which helps to produce a smoother roll and feel. The premium black finish looks stylish and its anti-glare feature enables the golfer to solely focus on the putt at hand.

What Ryan Says

“It’s an all-black club face with the traditional look of a putter. Technology-wise, it’s the softest face that Odyssey offer - 20% softer than the White Hot Face - and it’s available in a lot of the popular head designs that we associate with Odyssey. In terms of price, it’s their entry level putter around £140 and if you have never had one before, this could be your gateway into falling in love with Odyssey.”

Odyssey White Hot OG

Odyssey White Hot

The Odyssey White Hot Face insert has been highly reliable for touring players, which makes it one of the most popular face inserts of all time. The iconic face returns with the same sublime feel, sound and characteristics that are desirable for both professional and amateur golfers alike. This insert provides more consistent acoustics and responsive feel to help you sink more putts. The putter features a rich silver PVD finish, which rounds off the premium look.

Key Tech

What Ryan Says

“These are the most popular throughout the years for Odyssey and it has actually been around for 20 years now. These models are very popular and it’s the first range that introduces the Stroke Lab shaft - which provides counterbalance and helps recreate the stroke every single time. This putter feels fantastic and it is available in lots of the popular shapes from Odyssey.”

Odyssey Eleven

Odyssey Eleven

The Odyssey Eleven’s mallet design blends Odyssey’s White Hot insert with the highly impressive Stroke Lab shaft to produce great consistency when out on the course. The White Hot insert contains the same feel and sound, whilst boosting acoustics and responsive feel across the face. Its unique head shape helps to deliver fantastic MOI properties that are expected from a mallet, despite the shape including a more forward CG positioning to help keep putts on line.

Key Tech

What Ryan Says

“The mallet shape is the same throughout this putter family and it is available in lots of different alignment styles. It feature super high MOI and for those of you who struggle to keep the putter squared, this could be a putter for you. Again, we have the Stroke Lab shaft. The Eleven is a putter that you should try if you are struggling to keep the face square when on the green.”

Odyssey Versa

Odyssey Versa

For any golfers that struggle to align their putts, the Odyssey Versa is here to offer a helping hand. The Versa high contrast alignment system signifies the correct face angle throughout the stroke, making it much easier for the user to perfectly align putts on every occasion. Additionally, the putter features a double-bend shaft hosel design which is suitable for straight back and through strokes - with minimal swing arc and face rotation. A Stroke Lab shaft and White Hot insert are also included.

Key Tech

What Ryan Says

“The contrast in colours is all about alignment; it has been statistically proven that players can align and get their putter facing the hole better with this alignment feature. We have the White Hot insert in there and the Stroke Lab shaft. The putter brings lots of technology together to help golfers repeat their stroke time and time again.”

Odyssey TRI-HOT 5k

Odyssey TRI HOT

The Odyssey TRI-HOT 5k is the premium offering from Odyssey, which features all their esteemed technology to get golfers putting more efficiently. By utilising 303 stainless steel, these putters have been crafted to reinvent the capabilities of a putter. A White Hot insert and Red Stroke Lab shaft are included, with the TRI-HOT also featuring two tungsten weights on the sole that fine-tune the putter, which are removable to help achieve exact preference.

Key Tech

What Ryan Says

“There’s a lot of technology going on here. We’ve got multi-material construction to really make these putters higher MOI and resist that twisting when we don’t hit the centre of the face. It includes Stroke Lab but this series was really designed around bladed models and making them as close to the MOI that we see in some of the bigger mallet footprints that Odyssey offer.”
