Visit Cascais in Portugal Launches Innovative Golf Passport

By: | Wed 16 Nov 2022

There’s good news for golfers travelling to Lisbon looking to play a group of courses in the vicinity.

The nearby town of Cascais, just 40 minutes along the coast from the Portuguese capital and home to several top courses, is launching a Golf Passport to make multi-round tee-time bookings faster and cheaper.

The Golf Passport allows 3 to 5 rounds to be booked online in under a minute, with the added benefit of guaranteeing the lowest fixed prices available.

All seven of the independently-owned golf venues in Cascais are taking part in the scheme. Booking can be done via a link within the VisitCascais website - bookings.visitcascais.com.

There is a good clutch of interesting, varied golf courses around Cascais making it a perfect destination.

They are: Oitavos Dunes, Penha Longa, Estoril, Onyria Quinta da Marinha Golf Resort, Belas Clube de Campo, Lisbon Sports Club and Pestana Beloura Golf, each within easy reach and enjoying panoramic Atlantic Ocean and Sintra Mountain views.

Bernardo Corrêa de Barros, President at Visit Cascais, the region’s tourism board, said: “Cascais is already a well-connected destination to over 100 major cities throughout the world but with the launch of this platform, we can now connect our region’s courses together for the first time to provide golf and travel specialists with an easy-to-use booking system.

“We want to show the world that our city is the greatest place to spend a day or a lifetime so it is our hope that through the Golf Passport by Cascais, more golfers can visit the region on a more regular basis and experience our unique courses, exceptional gastronomy and calm way of life.”
