Seamus Power Player Profile And What's In The Bag

By: | Mon 31 Oct 2022

SEAMUS POWER laid down a marker for European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald by winning the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, beating Belgium's Thomas Detry by a shot.

Power recorded his second PGA Tour success thanks to a final round of 70, giving him a 265 total, 19 under par. PGA Tour rookie Ben Griffin appeared to be cruising to towards his maiden win until he bogyed the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th and then suffered a double-bogey at the 16th.

"This win is a completely different feeling, but just as special," Power said of a win that catapults him one place ahead of Rory McIlroy to fifth in the FedEx Cup and to a career-high of 32nd in the world in his 138th PGA Tour start.

"It's so hard. You play a lot of tournaments, and it's only my second win, and I don't know how many events. It's very special. It's going to take a little while to sink in, but I am absolutely over the moon."
