Garmin Approach S42 GPS Watch Review

Garmin’s Approach S42 GPS golf smartwatch is innovative and goes well beyond the course.

While it looks stylish with its bezel design, lens artwork, colour options and bands, you are also able to track fitness activity away from golf.

The watch provides key distances that inform the golfer how far they are from intended targets - including green view and pin positioning for ultimate accuracy.

When you are not playing golf, you can rely on this watch to track fitness activities; it will count steps, record sleep, and provide additional information for other sports.

The 1.2” display is bolstered by the touchscreen interface that also benefits from high-resolution, which helps the device to be easily detectable during sunlight and increased glare situations.

The AutoShot technology will help to automatically record all shots and it will also store the data on the Garmin Connect application, enabling the user to revisit and analyse previous performances.

This feature can store scores across an array of modes, such as: stableford or handicap modes.

Another excellent feature of this watch is that information will be automatically updated on golf courses that you play frequently and when synced with Garmin Connect, it will be easier for you to choose your local golf course more efficiently.

It is also compatible with C10 sensors, which will help to track individual club performance and therefore, provide accurate information on gapping.

The user is also able to sync the watch with their smartphone, which will display notifications with vibe mode, such as incoming calls, texts, or emails.
