Track Your Golfing Journey on Where I Play Golf

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 27 Mar 2020

Normally, this is that magical period of the year in which we embrace the return of evening golf and the beckoning of the main season, the Masters is on TV, and our courses sit pristine and ready for us. However, these clearly aren't typical circumstances, and those courses will have to wait a little longer for our homecoming.

But rather than long for what we don't yet have, why not spend this time reflecting on what you have had, the joy the game has given you and the venues that you have experienced. Recently, Golfshake launched a new Where I Play Golf service.

A new BETA website, Where I Play Golf is a tool that provides golfers with the opportunity to easily track where they have played, ranking courses, creating their own must-play lists, and comparing their golfing footprint with other players in the Golfshake Community through interactive leaderboards.

Golfers love to discuss where they have played, it's a regular topic of conversation in clubhouses and online between keen aficionados of the game, and Where I Play Golf has been engineered to further develop that discourse by providing a user-friendly outlet for compiling the layouts they have ticked off, with further updates to come.

You'll know that Golfshake is home to 250,000 independent golf course reviews, an interactive search map to discover tee times, and a burgeoning golf travel section that is continuing to evolve. Where I Play Golf is the next step in that progression.

Many golfers have already tracked their golfing journey on Where I Play Golf, including one user who recorded 461 courses. Golfshake Ambassador Andrew Picken - who regularly shares reviews from his travels - has an impressive 252 under his belt, hopefully with more to come later in 2020. Fellow Golfshaker Matt Holbrook has only been playing the game this past decade, but has nonetheless played 125 different courses.

Calculate how many you have played, compare yourself to the Golfshake Community, and see how you rank against your friends.

And just think how special it will be when you have the chance to add to that number. That day will come. We can't wait to share and celebrate it together.
