Mizuno ST190 Driver Review

By: Golfshake Editor | Sun 03 Feb 2019

Golfshake's PGA Professional and Equipment Expert Ryan Rastall has tested and reviewed the new Mizuno ST190 and ST190G drivers at Celebration Golf Club in Florida. Looking at the technology and assessing the performance, discover whether the new clubs have made an improvement on the predecessors.

These first appeared for last year's British Masters, and will be available to buy from February onwards. The ST190 drivers offer Mizuno’s lowest spin rates and have been designed to enhance ball speed and driving distance.

The Top 5 Drivers of 2019

The ST190 was created for mid to low spin with maximum stability, and features a single, factory-fixed 6g backweight that adds added stability on off-centre strikes. The ST190G is engineered for low spin and offers greater adjustability through twin 7g weights on external tracks that can reduce spin.

Reflecting on the two drivers, Ryan said: "Having hit them both, the ball flight is very good, and what I would expect. I changed some of the settings on the 190G and could see the differences, so the Fast Tracked technology is certainly working there. These are definitely drivers to go and have a hit with."
