The 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale during the Waste Management Phoenix Open is an extraordinary sight. Packed into a stadium setting, thousands of spectators frame the green, in various degress of (quite often) alcohol induced delirium. For some this a method of expanding golf to the masses, while purists view it as a gimmick. There is likely merit to both perspectives, but it's certainly a unique and distinctive theatre that makes this event stand out from the pack.
We take a look back at some of the most memorable moments (or incidents) to have occurred on the 16th. From the ear-busting cheers that greet a hole-in-one, to often fevered interactions with the crowd, here are some of the best bits.
