What the club says: The golf course was named for Chester W. Ditto, a native and life long resident of Arlington, who attended the University of Texas. He was later employed by his father at American Seed Company in Fort Worth. Mr. Ditto was a Mason and a Shriner as well as a member of the Fort Worth Rotary. An active golfer, Mr. Ditto played at what is now known as Meadowbrook Park Golf Course. Mr. Ditto passed away in 1967. On December 31, 1968 the City of Arlington acquired 164 acres from his widow, Alberta Ditto. The golf course was dedicated and opened in September 1982.
