What The Club Says
The excellent condition of the course, combined with the subtly sloping greens and changing sea breezes provide a great test of golf for both high and low handicappers. Mr Charles Hunter professional at Prestwick designed the 9 holes of 'sporting character' in 1894 whilst Mr W. Gordon Cunningham designed the 'new' nine holes and officially opened the course on 30th May 1987.

Wonderful experience
Outstanding course, from tricky par 3 5th to the parallel 9, 10 and 11th with the mound and dog leg 12th.An absolutely beautiful course with greens in the best imaginable condition, greenkeepers should be so proud of them selves, carrying out an amazing job.
Amy, James and Kim in the kitchen and bar are so friendly and hospitable, from lovely fresh cooked food to a friendly relaxed atmosphere in bar. A must for everyone to experience this gem on the west coast of Dumfries and Galloway.

Loved my round at Wigtownshire county
Played Wigtownshire County Golf Club recently and was thoroughly impressed. The course is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of challenge and enjoyment for all levels of golfers. The standout feature has to be the greens — they were absolutely superb, rolling true and at a perfect pace. The layout makes great use of the coastal scenery, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. A fantastic experience all around — can’t wait to come back!Reviewer Rating
