Excellent little course on outskirts of Preston. Always a friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Challenging at times, but suitable for all levels. Well worth a visit

Great to be back regularly on Goosnargh now the weather has improved so much, always get a friendly welcome from Helen and Rad and it represents excellent value.
Challenging 9 holes, fairways and greens good, the 7th is a cracking short par 4 and the par 3s require well hit tee shots. An idyllic setting for a relaxing round of Golf.

Nature at its best

Played this 9 hole course this morning and found it to be most enjoyable. Fairways etc in good condition, greens a little slow but a very warm welcome set the scene for a relaxing, challenging round. Whilst not the longest of golf courses it is well laid out with a number of holes requiring accuracy and length. The course contains plenty of nature including hares, deer, ducks and geese amongst other interesting wildlife. All in all a good morning and a course that I will certainly return to.

Brilliant course

Considering the dire winter we have had I am amazed at how well the course looks and plays. The owner and greenkeeper should be congratulated on keeping it open! I agree with one of the other reviewers that varying the price with the course condition is good and perhaps the gas board should get on board (haha). That said it looks well, plays well and doesn’t cost the earth. Where else can you spend so little for such a pleasant morning or afternoon’s entertainment? Brilliant.

Growing in stature

I have been playing this course for many years now, because if you want to play a challenging 9 hole course to get some exercise or just to practice your golf, that is handy around the Preston area, then this is the course for you.
It is true that the very poor weather in 2017 has not helped this course, but the owners have worked tirelessly in the face of adversity to keep the course in the best condition that they could. A big difference will be made once the gas board have layed the drains that they promised to do 18 months ago, which will allieviate the surface water problems on some of the holes, that our poor weather has caused over the last year. The owners of the course charge a green fee applicable to the state of the course at the time, unlike other courses that just charge the same whatever the state of the course. So if you think you are good enuf, come and have a go.

Lovely 9 hole course

This is a very enjoyable 9 hole course with a few challenging holes, a bit wet when there has been a lot of rain but a lovely day out when the course has dried out with some lovely wildlife all around you . The greenkeeper is very helpful and quite a pleasent chap who will help you in anyway he can . The owner Helen is a bundle of joy you can here her laugh at the other side of the course always willing to chat with you and listen to your complaints and will try to accommodate you with a helpful manor . I love playing this course and have a good challenging game every time . Would highly recommend it.

Unplayable after wet weather

This Course is extremely heavy after rain. No run on fairways. Balls plug on fairways. standing water all over, and boggy ground. Just not enjoyable at all.

Dreadful

In a previous review, I gave the Course 4 out of 5, having played it after a prolonged dry spell - a rarity in these parts. Played again recently, and conditions were dreadful. Although the day was sunny, the ground underfoot was a swamp. If I'd known how bad it was, I would not have played, pure and simple. The Owners should have closed the Course rather than take the money off unsuspecting golfers. I've learnt my lesson. Never again.

What a difference a dry spell makes ! In prolonged wet weather, this Course is not enjoyable, but in dry conditions, it's a different experience altogether. Fair greens, well cut fairways giving plenty of run, all offering real value for money.

Poorly managed course. Insulting rude lady owner. Mud mud and more mud, mud on the tees, mud on the fairways, mud on my shoes, pants, bag. Plugged ball on every fairway, poorly kept, no drainage, god knows what it's like when it's raining as we played after a dry spell. Mega expensive for 9 holes. Very rude and insulting lady greens keeper. Avoid at all costs. 0/10.

No drainage on the fairways, poor muddy tee's, no yardage markers, generally wet and the weathers been fine for a while.. also very expensive £10 for 9 holes of mud and slutch. The greens lady keeper was extremely rude! This course is Not worth the money they charge. No facilities.

Very poor condition, muddy very wet fairways and tees despite a long spell of dry weather, £10 for 9 holes is far to expensive, very rude greenskeeper. Best going to a proper golf club and playing 18 holes for the same money. Avoid this one.

Too heavy for golf - despite a few dry days, there was no run on the fairways and I lost a ball plugged on a fairway.

Course playing well after a bad winter. Still bare patches on fairways due to lying water in winter killing off grass. Greens reasonable.

Poorly run in all honesty, no club house or place to pay they go off an honesty box which isn't ideal when you've only got notes, fair ways poorly drained, for the price id play at a 18 hole course for an extra couple of quid. Green keepers rude as well.
