What The Club Says
The 9 hole Amendoeira Golf Resort course located between the Faldo Course and the O'Connor Jnr. course is ideally suited to beginners and those who wish to sharpen up their short game. It was opened in 208 and it has been built to the same high standards as the Faldo Course and O'Connor Jnr. course.
Three teeing options vary the line of play into each hole and maximize every hazard designed into the green complex. The 7th is the feature hole on the course, where two of the teeing options play over water.

Exciting and very playable resort course
The view of the courses at Amendoeira from the terrace bar is stunning and it promises excitement that is delivered in spades. The O'Connor course has water hazards everywhere (although not many of them have any water in them) but it is very playable. The fairways are very wide and it requires a pretty wayward shot to miss them. The water is frequently to the side of fairways and then up near the greens. It makes for a very exciting and exhilarating round. The green were very quick and true when we played. Fairways were in good shape but some of the tees were a little bit scruffy. It is patchy and scruffy around the edges of the holes, mainly due to a lack of water, but the bits you're supposed to play on are in very good condition. The food in the clubhouse was good and the most reasonably priced of the four courses we visited. The staff were very friendly and the bar stayed open long after darkness had fallen, something that cannot be said for all the courses we played. The only issue was the pace of play was slow, in part because of the number fo groups that were packed onto the course (8 minute tee times) and also because of the lack of understanding about how to play golf quickly from some of the groups in front.Reviewer Rating

A challenge
An interesting course but not an ideal holiday course for over 20 handicappers, too challenging. Somewhat expensive, bunkers very poor considering the course fees.Reviewer Rating

Great Challenging Course
Great Challenging Course, In pretty good condition.Need to able to drive the ball well to score around this course as some holes you need to drive a minimum of 100-150yds to reach the fairway.

Brutal off the whites
