Awesome course greens were extremely quick given the time of year. The course will punish higher handicappers like myself. The club is very active on FB too and anyone can join. My last review of this course was December 2015 and the course is still in fantastic condition.
Today as an extra bonus the trees looked spectacular in their autumn colours.

Tees and greens excellent. could be a few more bunkers to make the course more challenging

This course is normally out of my budget but because it is on a current special offer I played here with a mate.
We both found the course in excellent condition despite the really poor weather. Some holes have a largish walk between them and but there is pavement to stop you slipping and sliding. There is excellent signage guiding you around the course and distance markers are abundant on every hole (200/150/100 yards) marked with stakes at the edge of the fairway and discs in the middle. It is true that every hole is different thanks to the wonderful natural contours of the landscape. Hole 13 is particularly interesting where you have to hit into a valley on a 330 par 4. It feels like it takes forever to get to the fairway as you zigzag down the valley to get to the bottom.
My only concern is that holes like this could make play particularly slow in busy periods. However the course is really well looked after with not a single scruffy bunker to be seen (there are over 50 bunker on the course so you will land in one) and the greens are immense.
I highly recommend you visit this course as I think this is the most complete course I have played out of the 10 I have visited this year in the south Gloucestershire area (although I believe this course is North Somerset as I saw a road sign). I will certainly be doing so again but not in the driving rain.

We did fiund it dissapointing that the kitchen closed at 2pm and all we could be offered with our post match beer was a packet of crisps. Surely it must be viable for any course as good and busy as this to have someone in the kitchen during the afternoon, even if just to make bacon rolls and a bowl of chips?
