This course is alright, however on some hole i pressured my balls in the greens by accident, then just sunk in the greens. Also, there are wild dogs roaming free, i constantly felt on edge as they followed me hole to hole, i think they were after my balls.

It is a public cheap and cheerful pair of courses. The surface of the greens makes precision putting a bit of a challenge and the rough is rough. It is to Augusta what the play area in the local park is to Wembley. Having said that it is not a bad place to practice iron shots. The staff are pleasant and the views are good. There is a cafe next to the golf booth. From time to time you see a player doing a round with their dog as company. It is after all part of a public country park!

No point being sniffy about this place: it is what it is and serves a very useful purpose. So the greens are rough and the rough is rougher Take plenty of second hand balls if you are a novice or out of practice. It is still a cheap and excellent way for beginners to improve and learn about their shots and the game. And better players can adapt to suit the particular challenges of a well-used couple of courses. Very pleasant staff, free parking if you play, cafe and loos, and 2 very different courses to choose from. Seniors pay £5.20! What\'s not to like?

If you just starting to take up golf then its an okay course to hack around. The rough is very punishable, the bunkers have no sand just grass and the greens are in a very poor state. The lodge course has some tricky holes and has potential to become a challenging par3 if they spend some time and effort on it.

Played 18 holes with a friend and lost 6 balls between us due to ridiculous length of rough grass despite hitting 15 straight tee shots out of 18. Was told by attendant that rough grass is only cut once a year ! Definitely won't be going back!
