I played this course easly Sept '11 and really enjoyed it. Great variety in the holes, good greens and really friendly staff.
My dad found it a bit hard going with the ups and downs but he's not at his peak! When we go back it will involve buggy hire!

Well I did go back. The course is still in excellent condition for a pay-as-you-play course and yes it still eats golf balls. if you are ever in the srea...go play this course

Don't be mislead by thinking this is a cheap ordinary pay-as-play course. I think this is a little hidden gem. Although not very long it was a personal disaster for me. There are at least 8 holes where you are playing blind, especially for a first time visit. The rough manages to eat golf balls like they are going out of fashion. The greens are excellent, the fairways as good with not too many divots. If you do have trouble walking....you WILL need a buggy. All in all I played terrible but would I go back...next week hopefully.

local area golf club with excellent winter drainage giving a high standard of golf throughout the year.can be alittle daunting on some players because of the steep hills between some holes green keeping very good with practice area for pitching and bunker works, golf range also on site as part of club. always well subscribed by club and open players alike.

A great club. When looking for a club to join in the Bristol and surrounding area, this club stood head and sholders above the rest for value for money. A well designed challenging course that is open more of the year than most.

This always used to be one of the Pay & Play courses that I'd frequent, but as a high handicapper it could be a bit of a slog - especially with a big rise to some of the top holes.

Now I've tidied up my game a bit I can get round and have a good time on a course that is well looked after and not over-populated. I've enjoyed it so much that I'm now a fully paid-up member and will be looking to get more golf under my belt in the summer.

The clubhouse has a good selection of food on offer, and the range is in pretty good nick. The pro-shop appears to be well-stocked and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Because of it's position on the landscape, even heavy rain doesn't cause to much of a problem (last time it rained non-stop for about 3 days, there were only 5 temps).

first impressions were great a nice welcome when we got there.Even better when we found out that it was only going to cost us £11 on the monday. What a fantastic golf course some tricky par 3's,good par 4's and some great par 5's.Its worth paying the money just for the 13th hole,a raised teeing area to an uphill fairway with trouble infront if you mishit and also to the left and right so a straight tee shot is important, then the second shot is to a raised green. This is certainly a testing course, its not just a course for the big hitters.
