Excellent condition
The course was in very good condition and the timing of the round was very good with no delays. We did tee off before midday which helped due to volume of people at the course and club. Service we received was very good from the pro shop and also the bar, and would recommend this course to family and friends.(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 104 Handicap: 24.6)

Awesome course
I last reviewed this cause last August and it remains one of my favourite courses to play as a nomadic golfer. The variety of holes here is second to none. There are flat holes, undulating holes, short hole, long holes, dog legs.If you can bomb drivers 260-310 you have four opportunities to get on the green in one. However you can easily lose balls here too.
The greens are fantastic and a little quicker than the courses I've played recently.
I played on my own today and about four groups let me through on the first half. All extremely friendly. For a more in dept review see my previous reviews.

Picturesque course
Picturesque course with plenty of rolling hills. Challenging greens that are on the fast side.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 100 Handicap: 21.1)

Hilly and Challenging
We were glad we booked a buggy as the course is quite hilly in parts. Lots of challenging holes, including elevated tees and some blind shots. The pace of play was slow and a round took us about 5 hours. Good value course, greens in good condition even though it was wet underfoot.Reviewer Rating

This course is normally out of my budget but because it is on a current special offer I played here with a mate.
We both found the course in excellent condition despite the really poor weather. Some holes have a largish walk between them and but there is pavement to stop you slipping and sliding. There is excellent signage guiding you around the course and distance markers are abundant on every hole (200/150/100 yards) marked with stakes at the edge of the fairway and discs in the middle. It is true that every hole is different thanks to the wonderful natural contours of the landscape. Hole 13 is particularly interesting where you have to hit into a valley on a 330 par 4. It feels like it takes forever to get to the fairway as you zigzag down the valley to get to the bottom.
My only concern is that holes like this could make play particularly slow in busy periods. However the course is really well looked after with not a single scruffy bunker to be seen (there are over 50 bunker on the course so you will land in one) and the greens are immense.
I highly recommend you visit this course as I think this is the most complete course I have played out of the 10 I have visited this year in the south Gloucestershire area (although I believe this course is North Somerset as I saw a road sign). I will certainly be doing so again but not in the driving rain.

At 73 I didn't appreciate the Himalayan effort needed to get from tee 2 to green 5. We were at it again at 14. And, as a first timer I hadnt a clue where to hit it at 2. But these are pretty, even stunning holes. When things flattened out at 7 then I thought we had a great course and I enjoyed every inch. I'll be back but will hire one of their very reasonably priced buggies. Greens were great by the way, fast and tricky, bit great.Reviewer Rating

Have been playing Stockwood for many years and it never disappoints! Greens and overall condition fabulous, despite the recent awful weather that has closed many other local courses. Thank you for all the hard work on our behalf?Reviewer Rating

Fantastic course
Not been here in 2 years.Green were superb. Probably the best greens I've played this year without being scary. The greens will test most golfers due to their larger size and undulations.
The course has a interesting combination of holes which will suite most golfers. Non of the holes are extremely tight and have fair bailouts of wayward shot, however you need to keep an eye out for international OOB on 7. I do feel this course should start on hole 16 as the last 3 holes are the other side of the club house and driving range.
