The course was heavy going but considering the weather and the time of year it was not that bad. The greens had been worked on so the club offered a reduction of £10 on the green fees. Which was appreciated.
The club house seemed to have a lot more activity and the staff was very helpful. The only downside was that the drink was or seemed expensive

Excellent condition

The only criticism i had about the course was that it seemed to have too many people on the course that did not know how to conduct themselves and dress code was not good. Lots of society groups out and this may of been the reason. The marshal was very good and was checking up on everyone but it did seem to be very slow. I would not recommend this club as this seemed to be a fault on the day. We completed the course in 4.5hrs but the other groups before us i was told completed the course in 5.5hrs, which is not good. The club was quiet and did not have any atmosphere, and the bar staff looked like they wanted to go home and lock up . Not good really and this does need to be addressed. we teed off at 1400hrs and just got back in time before it got dark. Some building work was being done on the back three holes but this in fairness never effected our game. We are all members of other clubs around the Bristol area and we all felt that these issues should be addressed. One final point the showers we also used, and they were in fact cold.

Excellent layout with many varied holes. It had rained all the previous day and early morning, stopping just as we teed off which was a relief, the course was in great condition - no puddles on the course just on walkways, greens a. bit slow but as expected. Condition of all aspects was great. Pace of play good and pro very friendly and helpful.

Good value

Twilight rates at £13 cannot go wrong here. I wouldn't pay full price to play here but these twilight rates are excellent when other courses in the area are trying to charge too much cough (Thornbury).

Really nice course fairly busy as you would imagine.

Green were really quick considering the recent rain and they caught me out multiple times.

A perfectly pleasant course which benefits from some great views but is let down by too many mediocre holes particularly 5, 9 and 10. Also there is a fixation around par 3s over water which become rather repetitive. The greens weren't too bad, generally giving a true roll but could have been quicker and no doubt would have been had it not rained on the previous two days.
Finding the 17th tee was a bit of an effort as it is quite a distance from the 16th green and there is no signage. Not sure of the wisdom of sticking a dirty great fountain in front of the 18th green which obliterates the pin position. The round cost £20 which felt about right. Happy to have played the course but wouldn't rush back

very blustery day but fairways and greens in very good condition. We had a person who needed a buggy health condition but they were banned on the day. However they gave him an electric trolley no charge also a free round. Also the collected him from 17th green to take him up a very steep hill to the 18th.They could not do enough for him which was very much appreciated.

Played today, thought the course was in good condition. The greens and tees were good. Some lovely holes with great views. Clubhouse was very friendly as were the staff. Would recommend it.

We have just played The Bristol and were so impressed with the whole experience we received. We were told that they never use temporary greens in the winter so we wanted to try them. They were brilliant and the course was great. The boys in the shop were really welcoming and the food we had after in the bar was really good. We are definitely going back!

Considering the recent weather, I thought the course was in pretty good shape. Food in the clubhouse was good and everyone seemed friendly. Certainly worth a visit!

Although on the day some temperary mats had to be used due to the condition of the course we found that the signage was poor and this was apparent on all holes. No 200 or 100 markers visible on the course, this we felt was below average and very poor for the money paid on the day. The facilities in the club were good and the bar staff curtious.

The Bristol bog

Looks like it could be a great course in the summer. But it's so wet now it virtually unplayable! We should not have been charged full price to play on a marsh!
