I think this course likes to think big but in reality it is a members course with pay-as-you-play. It is owned by the crown golf empire and is in pretty good condition for this time of the year even considering some of the recent rain we have had. It is a pleasant enough course with a few tricky holes and a few blind ones but the one observation common to a lot of courses is that the general public don't have any idea how to repair pitch marks on the green. I get sick and tired of repairing fresh pitch marks...no matter what course I play on. At least at my local course there is always a bucket on the first tee full of plastic mark repairers donated by a concerned member....it has cut down this bad habit 10 fold....why doesn't every course try this. However I played after 16.30 so got the twilight rate of 15...but the bugbear...25 for a buggy...really when all the other courses around here only charge 12 or even less.
All in all a challenge and I shall go back even at 25 for the buggy because....you need one, especially, as earlier people have said...that final walk from the 17th green to the 18th tee...you need 10 minutes to recover before you can even think about hitting your tee shot !!!!!The Course

A really interesting and enjoyable course, and great value for money. Extremely easy to find as just off the M5 J17. Will definitely revisit.

Good challenging course which I really enjoyed. The fairways were very very boggy due to the amount of rain recently, so had to play off the mats. The greens were in good condition but very slow. I'll be returning soon when the weather is nicer!

A very well maintained course with a wonderful variety of interesting holes. uphill and downhill drives, water features, doglegs and some blind drives. THe only drawbacks are the signposting and the climb between the 17th and 18th holes which almost killed me!!! Well qworth a visit especially on a 2for1 basis.

A very well-kept course with some challenging holes. Some spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and Severn bridges but also some traffic noise from nearby roads.

Play July 09 Saturday afternoon. Good value with 2-4-1 vouchers. Move around the course fairly well considering how busy it was. Nice views course will only get better over time. Good club house, worth playing.

It's a very nice course overlooking the Bristol Channel and is therefore subject to strong winds.
The course is quite challenging and there are some very interesting holes. With all the rain this year most courses are in good condition. This course was particularly well kept with true but tricky greens. The Course
