What the club says: Henbury is a members' golf club situated in a magnificent parkland setting of mature woodlands bordering the famous Blaise Castle Estate, just 5 minutes from the M5 motorway (J17). You are always be guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome to visitors, golf societies and of course charity events.
Henbury does provide a number of different challenges. Although the course is not long it can prove difficult to obtain your par figures. Accurate tee shots are required and small greens await your approach shots.

I was a member at Henbury and the atmosphere and friendliness of the members and staff was exemplary. A few snobs but you can avoid them. Loved the course and it had everything to catch slicers and hookers! Miss it like mad!

Beautiful challenge

Really nice course, previously a 9 hole course. Bought extra land and reshaped creating an 18 hole course. Some really nice holes. As a result of fitting the course in a small space it's not overly forgiving therefore a great challenge.

Played the course in November after a wet few days so did not expect the course to be pristine but whilst tee to green was in good order the greens were disappointingly poor. I expected them to be slow but they were really bumpy. The front nine has a weird layout. You need to pack sandwiches for the walk from 2nd to 3rd, it's miles! The crisscrossing and teeing off over previous greens is really tedious and surely could have been better planned. There are some interesting par 3 and the back 9 is perfectly acceptable. A lack of a course planner coupled with only 150 yd markers doesn't make life easy for the visitor. Clearly a fair bit of money has been spent on the clubhouse as beautifully appointed just a shame the budget didn't run to a few coloured discs on the course. Nice food and friendly staff but I went for the golf and it was rather average.

This course is a gem, easy access from the M5 and not far from the City Centre. Really pretty parkland setting and although it's not over long, accuracy is a must. I've played it a few times and it's always been in good condition. Post-golf, the fun continues, food and drink are exceptional quality and value, welcoming staff and friendly members, if you can avoid driving here I recommend it. If you can join as a member, even better. Absolutely excellent day out.

Played here in March 2012. We found this a very tight course were club selection off the tee does need some thinking about. Unforchantly there were some mats in play which was a pity it was a cracking sunny day and the course was in good condition, it was noticed members were alowed on the tees but not societys. My favorite hole was the par 3, 7th lovely site of the green from above with water to the right and a ditch to clear. There were some tees crossing other holes which i dont like and slowed up the play on a busy day. but overall a good day, a nice course but a little short.
The clubhouse and food was fabulous and we had a very warm welcome.

Played here for the first time in their Open Competition. First impressions were very favourable - lovely looking course with clubhouse/patio set above a couple of the tees. It is a true parkland setting, much lusher than any other course that I have played through this dry summer. In my opinion, holes 1-10 are better than the remainder with great views from some - number 7 is a lovely downhill par3 with stream and pond awaiting any mishit shot whilst number 10 is a short dogleg with the drive up a very steep "cardiac hill". Greens were in good condition but relatively slow - bunkers very good with lovely quality sand - fairways mixed, some great some not. The course is very conveniently located just 5 minutes from the M5 motorway (J 17). My Sausage Sandwich was served with a dressed salad - now there's a sign of quality for you. Great value at £15 - the Comp, not the Sausage Sandwich!
