Grens excellent, fast and true. New water features on a number of holes. The layout was great before, but now subtle improvements like the odd tree pruned and the planting of new ones means every shot is a thinking shot.

Thoroughly enjoyed my round at Horsley. Have played several times and the course is always in good standing.
Two niggles though. The flagsticks appear fatter than what I'm used to. Maybe I'm just angry that I should of chipped in and the ball hit the flag stick three times in one round in a chip.
And I want to be a member but I like to start early at 6am if I've been on nights but unfortunately they won't allow me to tee off at that time.

best course I've played. used to play here years ago and it's got better. friendly staff, challenging course. slow up front so groups up our area but full round 4 hours. good times

Played 07/07/14 early morning offer from Direct tee times Course in excellent condition apart from greens having been sanded very early that morning, sand had been swept on last 4 holes. Shot 79 off 7.8 handicap Worth buying Shotsaver guide as plenty of water & blindshots. Will definitely play course again soon

Greens already looking in great shape for the time of year.
Some hollow tinning has recently taken place but should make them better in a few weeks.
Clubhouse under new management from the same people who run the Cavendish Hotel for the Duke of Devonshire...look out for some tasty hospitality

Played here many years back and was not impressed at all with golf course! Coming back recently new greens have been put in and it was much improved. Unfortunately still has the private club feel about and as a green fee I felt out of place! Good deals to picked up online if you don't mind playing late on in the day!

Amazing - all round. Extremely recommended. Easily the best course I've played in this country never mind Derbyshire. Perfect greens. Nice and quick.

Excellent golf course, also considering we have had a lot of rain again the greens are in excellent condition, booked at short notice using tee times, would play here again.

Came with the LVA on Wednesday. I'm not playing at the moment due to a broken ankle. Received a buggy even though the weather was awful, excellent customer service and the 19th was stunning
