by Ashley Dakin on 9th September 2008Ive played this course a few and it always comes up to 'scratch' on both fairways and greens.
The par has recently been changed down to 70 with a change on a couple of holes leaving the 12th as one of the hardest par 4's ive played at SI18. The 15th par 4 has been droped from a 5 and takes an avergage player 3 good hits to make it on the green so your putting better be good.
the bar has just undergone a makeover with a modern but relaxed feel with a good selection of beers and food to suit all tastes.
All in all, very good course but a bit pricey if your not signed on by a member. The Course

by Chris Perry on 30th June 2008Great front 9 with lots of variety, a shame the back couldn't match it; it's very backwards and forwards. Not quite your typical corporate course but does have the usual green fees to go with it. Course was in good condition for the time of year and greens were in superb condition with subtle breaks.
Would've got a better score if they had made the back 9 more interestingThe Course

Pro's - the most outstanding hole on this course is the 11th, with the high tee looking over the rest of the course and the city of Derby.
Con's - some of the holes are a bit close together - a bit of a danger of getting hit by a ball or 2.The Course

by Miwako Ito on 28th January 2008Interesting course. The green is really fast. But I think it is too expensive for non-member to play. Junior green fee is reasonable!

by Tim Hawkins on 12th December 2007Played the Priory in the first week of December after 3 days of heavy rain and the course was in beautiful condition. Granted there were a few squashy patches in remote areas (I tend to go into strange places) and there were a few temporary tees, but that is the only gripes I had. The greens were damp but consistent, quite quick and firm enough not to plug lofted shots (some big pitch marks though).
Great value too, £10 each (with 2 fore 1) on a Monday. Round only spoilt by a corporate 4 ball slowing two 3 balls and a couple of pairs in front of us.The Course

by Mark Taylor on 12th March 2007Two 18 hole courses, with the typical corporate hotel and facilities. Play the Priory course if you get the chance and it is definately superior to the Moorland course (few more ups-and-downs, and a challenging "road-hole" to boot). I can't recommend staying over though, as the last breakfast I had there left me wishing I'd brought a hammer and chisel for the bacon! Not sure of current prices, as the last time I played it was a corporate do, but the golf was very enjoyable.
