Tight Course
Bulbury will always test your ability because of the narrowness of the fairways and tight lines that are required. Therefore, a course that makes you think you’re way around and with very wet conditions, picking the right club and shot paramount. It remains a test in all conditions and well done for the course being open during this time.

Can Be Challenging
I am a member at this course, everyone is really friendly and welcoming. As a high handicapper it can be challenging but at the same time it is well suited to one learning to use different clubs on different holes. It can punish a long drive with its woodland but rewards a reasonable ( that’s me) 6 iron of the tee. Greens are very well kept, I see some complain about slow play, it’s only a problem when three or four balls spend time looking for balls, which is worse and frankly to be expected this time of year, so I have the attitude that it is what it is. 10 Mins between rounds would help this situation, but overall I really love this club.Reviewer Rating

Challenging course
Greens very quick and tight fairways. This course will test the best.Lovely layout and don’t think on the back nine that the straight fairways are easy. Spot the wildlife around as well.

Good course
Considering the weather of previous weeks, course was in very good condition and only two temporary greens. All the new drainage put in has certainly helped the overall quality of the course as a whole. Greens were holding very well. Tough course as always but you will feel good if you play well.Reviewer Rating

Great Bacon Roll
Course has a clay base which in wet weather becomes very mucky. Recent rain had made the greens very spongy and footprints were still showing making putting a lottery.Reviewer Rating

Tight as ever
Greens very good and lush and fairways green in places considering the weather. Very good and tough course because it is very narrow. It makes you think a lot about your shots.Bad news today was nearly a five hour round as a two ball!!!!!
Match play well ahead of us- great hold ups- play now is supposed to be speedy!!!!
A shame because normally good.

Becoming more challenging
On initial arrival at Bulbury Woods it seems a bit unkept with the rough looking like the mowers are in the repair shop awaiting spares. Clearly this is not the case because the fairways and greens are in great condition. So beware, a topped tee shot, hook or slice will be punished. In addition you might find play a bit slow if to many golfers spend to much time trying to find their Pro V1 in the rough. Play a provisional and move on.Reviewer Rating
