Dorset Golf and Country Club
The Dorset Golf & Country Club hosts 27 holes of the most challenging golf in Dorset and is recognized as one of the golfing gems of the South of England.
The Martin Hawtree designed; Lakeland/Parkland and Woodland courses are built to full USGA specification and are extremely well maintained, presenting excellent playing conditions for all levels of golfers.
The Championship Lakeland/Parkland Course, Par 72, provides a great golfing experience with beautifully sculptured greens, surrounded by cleverly placed bunkers.
The course also boasts some of the most picturesque lakes and waterways you could find on any course.
The Woodland Course, Par 33, offers a contrasting challenge to our main course with tight tree lined fairways, which have been carved through a forest of rhododendrons.
Any combination of the Lakeland, Parkland and Woodland can be combined to create an exciting and different 18 holes each time you play. Contact Information

This is a very good set up. I have only played the Lakeland and Parkland courses, but they proved a very good challenge. I played in Jan, so the course was a little wet in places, but generally was in good condition, however, the greens were hard work. Overall, I will definitely be going back

Lovely course and a good challenge with some interesting holes and a great mix of challenges from the 3 groups of 9 holes. Good length without being too long suits a mid to low handicap game. However, the excellent setting is great to just walk around and may help the high handicap player forget his score!

All 27 holes at this resort are a very good test of golf for all levels of golfer. Demanding in length yet forgiving if played with some respect.
The Clubhouse is very friendly and guests are always made to feel welcome. The quality of food/service is as good as anywhere.

Excellent value for money. I booked one night in their hotel accommodation for £57 which included Dinner, bed and breakfast and two rounds of golf. (Winter rates). Although it had been raining during the morning, the fairways and greens were in good condition for the time of year (22 Nov 2008). Very good three course dinner and a bottle of wine for free as well. Friendly staff and good accommodation on site. Will definitely book again.

8 of us stayed for a weekend and although it rained non stop the course was good to play with not much room for error the clubhouse and restuarant are of the highest standard the staff we very friendly and helpful would highly recommend a weekend away here make sure you can get six others and book a lodge these are fantastic scandinavian type homes with all mod cons

Great course with plenty of variety on every hole. You certainly have to think your way around with plenty of water and sand. I played in the winter and the green were fast, true and undulating. I bet they are really fast in the summer. Big club house and you can also stay too.
Highly recommend a visit if you get the chance.
