Played Bulbury at the weekend with a few mates, and considering the course was shut for the best part of the early year it played really well.
lots of changes since the last time I played there.
Staff were excellent and if I lived closer this would certainly be considered for a home course.
Bacon Rolls on the 10th were an excellent bonus to the round :-)
four ball in front of us let us through after a few holes and the whole experience was pleasant - thanks guys and gals

I'm returning to golf after almost 20 years away from the game, and have only played one other in the area (Ferndown Forest). At ?30 it's a little more than I?d like to pay for a round but I did pick an early tee time.
It's tight and tree-lined so not very forgiving, but I thoroughly enjoyed my round.
Playing during the current Covid environment makes it impossible to review hospitality/food/drink etc.

Beautiful Course in Dorset Countryside

Bulbury Woods is a truly beautiful course, and a challenge for golfers of different abilities. It is well maintained and has a good, interesting layout. Fairways are quite narrow at times, so wayward tee shots can be punished in the thick trees. There is a good mix of sand and water traps as well. Played on a twilight fee and was worth every penny. On a clear day, when you get to the top of the hill, there are views over the Purbecks. Looking forward to returning.

very nice course

it was very cold and I had the worse game of my life, a tricky little course and the ground was frozen. will defiantly play this one in the summer

Really enjoyable experience. Course is very well maintained with a very nice atmosphere. It's not overly long but many of the holes are very tight so accuracy is the key. Greens were in very good condition. Staff very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend this course for anyone visiting the area.

Fairways are very tight, accuracy is key round this course. Holes are varied and challenging. Course really well maintained. Staff pleasant and very helpful. Would definitely recommend for those visiting the area.

Played after 3 oclock which was at twilight rate so paid £17.00 which is cheap golf. Bulbury may not be the longest course but it is very tight in places so you have to be as straight as possible otherwise you will loose a few balls,that said the course is in good condition and with the trees in full leaf very pretty. The greens needed cuttind as they were a bit slow but that is the only slight moan.

First time for ages have managed to get out on our home course. Despite the showery weather the course was in excellent nick. Not too busy and a very enjoyable round of golf with some reasonable scoring. Looking forward to getting out again real soon !

Played this course on 6th August. Greens had been hollow tined and sanded making them very quick. Narrow fairways requiring accuracy. 2 par 3's grouped together (6 and 7) a little boring but overall an excellent, reasonably priced, day out. Excellent clubhouse with good food and curteous, helpful staff. I will definately play this course again.
