Flat and well drained.
This course is let down by the bunkers which are filled with 'builder's sand' containing far too many stones/gravel.Reviewer Rating

Challenging worth visiting
This is a good course, with the greens, fairways, tee boxes, and bunkers being maintained to a high standard. The course layout is good, never getting the feeling that two consecutive holes are the same. The par 3s are all pretty short but defended by bunkers and hollows. There's a nice mixture of long and short par 4s. The par 5s are not overly long and should be a birdie change for the low handicapper and a par chance for the higher handicappers. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this place.

Enjoyable course
My friend and I have played The Bedford on a number of occasions and played here again in July 2017. The course is relatively flat so not as strenuous as other course. It's a little like an inland links course but there are a reasonable number of trees as well as some water. The greens were particularly good when we played. The food in the clubhouse is good. A nice, friendly course to coma and play at.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 120 Handicap: 28)

Good course, tough if not straight
Rough was long so if you were not straight then the course is punishing. Greens quite undulating so some putts were big breaks.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 80 Handicap: 8.1)

Lovely charity golf day. Course isn't that hard but greens are tricky. Nice track.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 90 Handicap: 21.2)

A Real Tricky Course
Played on a Thursday for a reasonable £15 green fee. Great condition course with excellent tees and exceptional greens. Some interesting hazards make this a good challenge.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 86 Handicap: 18.4)

If you aren't a long hitter you should really enjoy this course. The greens were super slick even though they had been worked on and can only imagine them being great all year round.
Is quite exposed so if the wind picks up could play a part in your round.

course was in good condition, the greens were very good but had difficulty in reading them and misjudged the pace
