Well worth a visit
We did a Society day 18 holes of golf and 2 course dinner . The food after in the new spike bar excellent . Really good roast beef followed by Eton Mess . I have seen the course looking better but they have to different work some time on the greens . The greens were slower than when I have played in the past , which was no bad thing for me . There were a few bobbles . Fairways were ok but did draw a couple of awful lies in middle of fairway but feel that is due to the hot dry summer . Still a great society course with a lovely lay out . Not easy to play to your handicap . I thought I struck the ball well and scored 33 points off 18 . 37 points won it and we are quite a strong society . I would happily play Abridge every year with our society but we do rotate the courses . I am certain we will back at Abridge and would happily recommend it to others .Reviewer Rating

Lovely course
The course is immaculate condition. It has something for everyone from dog legs to right and left . To one or two holes with water on it. The only negative thing is the way you get the ball out. The metal wire comes slightly out from the flag and I hit it which knocked the ball away from the hole.other wise there?s no complaints.Reviewer Rating

One of the best I?ve played
What a lovely course, fairways are so lush, every hole has a different challenge, greens are quick so adds additional challenge... my only negative was that every bunker (marked or not) were ?Under Repair?!It's not a cheap course (?40 on a weekday) to play but the course and facilities make it a ?I want to come back? course.

Bit disappointed
I was very eager to play the course after reading some good reviews. Booked a twilight 5:30 tee time over the phone. Upon arrival we were charged peak rate, as there were no twilight fees. We also arrived early to hit some balls on the range. We were told the range was closed, so we reluctantly made our way to the practice green. Upon walking to the first tee, we could see a number of members hitting balls on the range! The course itself started well and I was impressed with the first 4-5 holes. However, a pattern soon emerged. Elevated tee - played onto a valley fairway - approach into a raised green where you couldn’t see the bottom of the flag. Whilst this layout is fine, the repetition became a bit of a joke with my playing partner... “Oh look, another valley hole”.
The greens were true and the majority of fairways were in good condition. However, I’ve played many better layouts for less money.

A worthwhile visit
The course was in excellent condition despite recent fairway tining. I thought the greens were excellent and are very much part of this course?s defence. Raised relatively small contoured greens are challenging and in excellent condition. We were well looked after for a very reasonable fee. I would certainly visit again.Reviewer Rating
