What the club says: The Club is situated in the charming Stapleford Abbotts countryside where it provides the ideal location for a relaxing game of golf in tranquil surroundings. The Abbotts Course with its mature trees, water hazards and generous fairways will be a test for the proficient player yet enjoyable and compromising for the social golfer.

The traditional, barn style clubhouse was constructed in the 17th century and offers panoramic views over the 18th green. It’s a wonderful finish to your golf while watching your fellow golfers complete their entertaining round of golf. The setting provides an ideal opportunity to recharge your batteries.

The course was in good condition, from tees to greens, and loked great. Sadly there was no hot food available, which took the gloss off a great day.

the course was in good condition. fairways kept well and cut nicely, tee boxes all cut and in good condition. Greens were good but slow, could do with a good cut.

At last the temporary tees have been removed and all is back to normal. With a little sun the course will dry after Wednesday\'s rain and summer can begin

The gourse is drying out and looking good. Dry sand and extra yards are making golf a joy again.

Despite the cold weather the course was in good nick, but cosiderable damage had been caused by a string of nine horses which had trampled some of the greens and fairways on the back nine holes.

The course has now dried out and tree pruning is in progress. The course looked good and played well.

Very little in the way of a club house, and there was, as far as I could see one or two ball cleaning devices. The weather was good but the greens were quite bad with pitch marks that had not been repaired.

With a start before 9 am. the course was crisp and hard with difficult greens. As the sun shone the course became easier but more wet underfoot. Scoring on the back nine was better than the front, for that reason.
