Fantastic open course with brilliant views
You can open your shoulders on this course and really let rip. Playable all year round (when other local courses are closed) as it drains well. Wind is the norm, frequently in the teens mph with gusts in the 20s (like today). The course is maintained to a very high standard and all staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 86 Handicap: 16)

Fantastic course worth visiting
Being a member of Playmore golf Came Down is my home course and a very good too. Its a course that is kept very well throughout the year so making it a pleasure to play.(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 95 Handicap: 20.9)

Came is well worth visiting
Great fun at present getting used to playing on 18 hole golf course. I am glad Came Down is my local course.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 99 Handicap: 31.7)

Views to kill for
A hilly course the weather can well be one of the challenges due to the wind, from the first tee the views over Dorchester are superb, a long downhill par 4 where a good drive can leave you with 150 to go. Best view is from the 15th green where you can see both sides of Portland, round to Devon across Lyme Bay, coming back on the final hole on a clear day the needles of the I.O.W are visible.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 115 Handicap: 34.4)

Lovely course, "home of the Ryder Cup"!
Course was in excellent condition, greens very good indeed. 3rd was a temp green due to rebuilding of main green(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 94 Handicap: 19.3)

Played on 15th August. Course in superb condition despite a severe drenching the day before. Play could have been quicker, but at just over three hours fifteen minutes, who cares. Very friendly welcome by the Pro and after the round by the club steward. A great course and great staff.

A beautiful course with challenging, sloping greens that test your approach play. The front nine, in particular, has exceptional views of Dorchester and the surrounding countryside from this hilltop course, with the back nine having a very different, more open character
Beautifully maintained, and definitely on the list of courses I hope to play again when next I'm on the South West.
